US— Ipsos OTX MediaCT president Bruce Friend has quit the firm, according to movie industry news site The Wrap.
The report quotes Friend as saying he wants to go back and do something “more entrepreneurial and technology oriented”.
It also quotes an email statement from Ipsos US CEO Jeffrey Call saying: “Bruce has made a personal decision that he would like to work in a smaller company or perhaps return to the client side of the business.”
Friend has previously worked for HBO, Telemundo, MTV, Nickelodeon and Sony Pictures Entertainment. He joined OTX in April 2003. OTX was bought by Ipsos in January 2010 and Friend was picked to lead the merged OTX MediaCT division several months later.
Call will take on responsibility for OTX MediaCT while the company looks to appoint Friend’s replacement.
