UK— Standards body BSI has issued a revised version of the international standard for market and social research, ISO 20252, updated to address the impact of new technologies on research methods, including online, mobiles and the increased use of access panels.
The standard covers the management and delivery of research, including proposals, designing questionnaires and discussion guides, sampling, data processing and archiving of documents.
Alongside the revised standard is the release of a revised version of the book, Quality in Market Research by Debrah Harding, chief operating officer of the Market Research Society, and Peter Jackson.
