Changes at the top for Market Strategies International

US— Market Strategies International has announced new responsibilities for its senior management team, including the appointment of a new president after Reg Baker stepped down from the role.

Baker has been with the company since 1995 and although he is stepping down from the day-to-day management of the company, he says he will still be involved with Market Strategies but on a “reduced schedule”.

George Wilkerson, who previously led the communications and energy teams, will take the role of president while chief executive Andrew Morrison will take the role of chairman. Rob Stone replaces Morrison as CEO.

Stone has spent more than 15 years in the industry and co-founded consultancy Doxus which merged with Market Strategies in 2007. Similarly, Wilkerson joined Market Strategies through its merger with Flake-Wilkerson, where he specialised in customer satisfaction and customer value research projects.

Chief financial officer Phil Giroux has been given additional responsibilities for the Market Strategies corporate and operations departments.

Morrison said: “Market Strategies is fortunate to have a deep pool of senior management talent that has worked together for several years. Our new leadership has participated in all management decisions since 2008 as part of the executive committee and is fully prepared to assume new titles and responsibilities. They have written the 2012 business plan in concert with our next level of management in each unit, and the year is off to a solid start.”
