Appointments and promotions in the global research and insight industry

Former JD Power research associate ANTHONY NAVAS has joined FDS International as a research executive.

Experian has hired SHIGETO OMORI as chief operating officer in Japan, where he will lead the expansion of the company’s risk management, credit services and marketing products.

THOM MOCARSKY, senior vice president of press and investor relations at Arbitron, is to leave the radio ratings firm at the end of June. He has been with the company since 1982.

Harris Interactive has appointed BERKELEY SCOTT as senior vice president of global accounts and business development strategy in North America. He is the latest former TNS employee to come aboard following the appointment of Kimberly Till as CEO last year. Till was previously CEO of TNS North America, under whom Scott was responsible for building a new financial services segment P&L line of business.

CHRIS ROURKE, director of user experience consultancy User Vision, has been appointed to the board of ScotlandIS, the trade body for the information and communications technologies industry.

Texas-based marketing agency Engauge has hired KOREY THURBER as vice president of analytics. He was previously VP of financial services analytics at Harte-Hanks.
