New business activity ‘improved’ • Group confident in its full-year outlook
UK— Global research group TNS today reported “good” first quarter revenue performance, with overall levels of new business activity improved on the previous year.
Figures were not disclosed, but TNS said its expectations for “another good year” – as reported in its 2007 results here – remain unchanged.
“The proportion of orders secured at the end of the first quarter supports these expectations and reinforces the group’s confidence in the outlook for the full year,” the group said.
In the first quarter, TNS said it saw “a good performance in its syndicated services” while the custom business performed “in line with expectations”.
TNS said: “While the near-term economic outlook remains uncertain, particularly in North America, the group believes that the growth potential for the market information industry remains strong.”
