Zogby plans Lat Am push from Miami

New office to act as ‘launching pad' for further expansion into Latin America

US-- Zogby International has opened an office in Miami – a move that positions the polling and research firm for further expansion into Latin America.

Fritz Wenzel, director of communications at Zogby, told Research: “Zogby already has clients locally in Miami and does a tremendous amount of work in Latin America. But we thought it would be a good idea to use a Miami office as a launching pad for the region.”

The Miami office follows the launch of two others in Dubai and Beirut. “We will continue to expand to where public opinion is becoming more and more important,” said Wenzel.

Zogby is best known for its US polling, however that accounts for only 15% of its business. The majority of revenues come from market analysis, brand image consulting and customer satisfaction research, said Wenzel.

The firm, founded in 1984, generated revenue of $7m in the last financial year. Looking ahead, Wenzel said: “We expect next year to be our best year ever – especially as we are beginning to nail interactive polling methodology using cellphones.”
