Zenith Optimedia shuffles research management in US

Tom Love replaces Bruce Goerlich as head of the North American Strategic Resources Group

US-- Media services agency Zenith Optimedia has promoted Tom Love to head its North American research and analysis division.

Love most recently ran the west coast arm of the division, known as the Strategic Resources Group.

He has been with the company since 2005 and was previously a director of strategy and market research for the Discovery Channel. As a one-time strategic manager at Apple, he helped develop the initial product concepts for the iMac, iPod and iBook based on consumer research.

At Zenith, Love replaces Bruce Goerlich. It is not known whether he has another role lined up.

Tim Jones, Zenith Optimedia's North America CEO, thanked Goerlich for his “outstanding contribution to the company over the last five years”.

He said Goerlich had played “a key role in the development and application of proprietary tools in building our integrated communications planning practice and ROI capability to where it is today”.

Commenting on his replacement, Jones said: “In Tom Love, Bruce has groomed a very strong and worthy successor. Tom has a rich background working on both the client and agency side where he developed expertise in consumer research, data reporting and modelling. This skill set reflects our strategic focus for consumer-based research aligned to our clients' brands, data management and for the continuing development of our ROI proposition going forward.”
