Yahoo and Google boost web data offerings

Internet giants announce new developments for web analytics services

US-- Yahoo and Google boosted their web analytics offerings to customers this week.

Yahoo said it was making its web analytics enterprise tool available free to search and display advertisers as part of its phased rollout of the service, which began last October.

The service was born out of the acquisition of Hungarian firm IndexTools. You can find more information here.

Google, meanwhile, has launched a public beta test of its Analytics Data Export Application Programming Interface (API), which allows developers to come up with ways of incorporating Google Analytics into their own existing products or to create new standalone applications.
