Welcome to the Frontline

New blog chronicling the research industry in the midst of the recession

GLOBAL-- So here we are, in the midst of the worst economic downturn for decades – at least, that's what newspapers, economists and governments are telling us. But what effect is the recession having on the day-to-day running of a market research business?

‘Opinions From The Frontline' is a new blog that sets out to answer that question. We kick-off with Stephen Phillips, managing partner of Spring Research, but as the weeks progress we'll be looking for further contributions from agency and clientside researchers from around the globe so we can present the most rounded picture possible of how the MR industry is faring.

If you want to contribute, or just add your comments, email news@researchmagazine.co.uk.

Elsewhere on Research-live.com today, NeuroFocus CEO A K Pradeep offers some words of advice to financial services firms looking to rebuild their damaged brands, while Harris Interactive's Stephen Mellor argues the pros of youth research following consumer czar Ed Mayo's attack earlier this year.
