Twitter research idea proves to be a winner
US-- A plan for how micro-blogging site Twitter could make money out of market research has won a competition to create a revenue model for the site.
The idea for Twitter Antenna was submitted by Albert Kim, a manager in Chicago for new media strategy and communications firm Denuo.
Kim's idea was for Twitter to set up an opt-in panel of users who could be segmented and then targeted by brands looking for quick and cheap feedback from a particular group of consumers.
Feedback from these panellists would then be stored in a special client dashboard where they could be analysed in detail.
The contest was organised by the Silicon Alley Insider blog. Click here to read why they crowned Kim their winner.
