Twitter adds search to user homepages

Site now ‘a discovery engine' says co-founder Biz Stone

US-- Twitter has rolled out search functionality across all user homepages, following limited tests earlier in the year.

Users can search and save key topics of interest, be it mentions of brand or company names, people, products or places, while the most talked about subjects are also listed as ‘trending topics'.

Co-founder Biz Stone said: “With this newly-launched feature, Twitter has become something unexpectedly important – a discovery engine for finding out what is happening right now.”
