TNS Travel & Tourism debuts Activities Panel
UK-- TNS is launching a new panel that will give clients in the leisure and tourism sectors access to respondents in the UK, France, Italy, Germany and Spain based on their participation in niche sports and leisure activities.
The company will filter respondents from its 500,000-strong online panel based on their gender, age, location and leisure and holiday preferences, such as parachuting, scuba diving or visiting film locations, depending on a client's needs.
Tom Costley, head of TNS Travel & Tourism, said: “We are launching the Activities Panel in response to requests from number of clients in this field who want to better understand how groups interact with these niche pursuits. Through this panel, we can also cross-reference activities – helping a mountain bike manufacturer identify where and when biking is most popular, or an eco-holiday operator understand what sports should be included in a holiday package.”
Costley said that it has traditionally been a “huge challenge” for clients in the leisure industry to research beyond an overall population or location-based level, preventing them from targeting the groups that participate in the services they offer.
The new panel will launch in May.
