TNS scoops Natural England survey
UK-- TNS has won a contract with government agency Natural England to conduct a study of the English population's relationship with the natural environment.
The three-year study will be conducted on a weekly basis among a 40,000-strong respondent base. The first report is expected in spring 2010.
It will report on the volume and characteristics of people's outdoor activities and encompasses a wide definition of pursuits from dog walking to mountaineering.
Tom Costley, head of TNS travel and tourism said: “Natural England aims to conserve and enhance the natural environment for people's enjoyment and for its economic prosperity, and this intelligence will greatly support the organisation in delivering on these objectives.”
