TNS Media Intelligence expands local radio advertising monitoring

New initiative in the US claims to be the largest local radio advertising monitoring project

TNS Media Intelligence in New York has launched what it claims is the largest local radio advertising monitoring project in the US. The firm has joined forces with Mediaguide, a joint venture between the America Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers and Connexus Corporation. It will monitor radio advertising in 30 markets and a total of 450 AM and FM stations, with additional stations and markets being added later in the year.

Steven Fredericks, TNS Media Intelligence president and chief executive officer, said: “Our goal is to provide blanket coverage of advertising expenditures and local radio is a critical element to many advertising campaigns.”
