The N taps mobiles for US teen insights

TV network in panel deal with MR agency OTX and mobile community provider MBuzzy

The N – MTV's nighttime TV network for US teens – has teamed up with online research agency OTX and mobile community provider MBuzzy to carry out surveys with its target audience via mobile phone.

The trio have clubbed together to build a panel of 10,000 teen respondents recruited from the MBuzzy community, visitors to The N's homepage, and teen quiz site Quizilla.com, recently bought by MTV.

Panellists will be asked about their lifestyles, and for feedback on network programming, advertising and events.

Radha Subramanyam, vice president of research and planning, said the panel – known as ‘Teens Everywhere' – will enable The N “to monitor and gather information from young people using their primary means of communication – cell phones”.

It will launch in January.
