Telsyte founder quits for new venture
Australian telecoms market researcher Shara Evans has quit Telsyte – the company she founded in 1997 – to launch a new research venture.
Evans has set up Market Clarity to provide published and custom research, and strategic advice to telecommunications companies and users.
She quit Telsyte in December 2005, taking with her the company's research manager Richard Chirgwin.
Evans sold Telsyte to Gibson Quai-AAS, part of business and IT services company UXC, in December 2002.
Market Clarity is planning to launch a series of demographic and forecast reports into the Australian telecommunications market. The first of these, covering the fixed voice services market, will be launched this month, and will be followed by studies on mobile, voice over internet protocol (VOIP), and data services.
