US — Five months on from their departure from uSamp, founders Matt Dusig and Gregg Lavin have launched a new business called Innovate.

Billed as an “online and mobile sampling and data collection business”, Dusig and Lavin (pictured, left to right) say Innovate will “pinpoint global panellists on demand and deliver sample via connected APIs.”

As well as online and mobile sample, Innovate will also provide survey programming services.

“Our focus is on data collection and the respondent experience,” said Lavin. “Consumers have evolved and as our audience changes, so must we. Tablets, smartphones, multi-tasking and multiple distractions challenge our business. Our response is to be nimble and pivot by providing new methods of engagement, capturing them in-the-moment and offering a best-in-class consumer experience.”

Dusig and Lavin launched uSamp in 2008 under the brand United Sample. The launch came three years after the pair sold their online research panel company goZing, which was established in 1999.

They left uSamp in December 2013, having handed over day-to-day management of the uSamp business to Alan Gould, the founder of IAG Research, earlier in the year. Gould is a venture partner with Greycroft Partners – a venture capital firm and early investor in uSamp.
