Online fieldwork agency Itracks has struck a partnership with social media monitoring firm Mutual Mind to develop a new software program aimed at the market research industry. The new Itracks social media monitoring service collects data from the likes of Facebook and Twitter and provides researchers with a dashboard that allows them to see what people are discussing online.
Panel provider uSamp has developed a mobile survey platform that is currently being tested by applications providers. The firm said the patent-pending technology will offer short surveys in which respondents are rewarded with virtual currency and will be compatible with smartphones, traditional mobiles and other devices such as the iPad.
DIY market research platform AskYourTargetMarket.com has launched new psychographic targeting and video response survey capabilities. Users will now be able to pre-screen any characteristics among respondents before starting a survey, or receive webcam replies from US respondents in the video option.
Business analytics software provider SAS has teamed up mobile messaging specialist Air2Web to develop a service that will provide clients with tailored mobile campaigns and customer service applications. SAS will be responsible for the analytics and intelligence side of the partnership, which will use Air2Web’s distribution expertise to reach customers.
