Synovate Americas chief takes on global COO role

Synovate has expanded the responsibilities of Americas CEO Robert Philpott who will now also serve as the agency's global chief operating officer (COO).

In his new role, Philpott will oversee the profitability of Synovate's business units, systems and processes, and quality control.

Adrian Chedore, global CEO of Synovate, said: “We're very pleased that Robert will oversee operations for Synovate globally as he continues to head up the Americas. His tenure and experience with the company, coupled with his decades of experience in market research, allows him to fully understand the business and help guide our direction going forward.”

Philpott has been with Synovate for almost 10 years, working with the company in various roles throughout the Americas, Western Europe and Asia Pacific.

Prior to his appointment as Americas CEO in August 2002, Philpott served as director of Synovate in the Asia Pacific region where he was responsible for managing the company's business across 11 countries. He also established the firm's presence in Malaysia.
