Susan Blackall leaves Research International

Agency says senior UK director went by ‘mutual agreement' after 18 years

UK-- Senior director Susan Blackall left Research International (RI) earlier this month, Research can reveal. She had been with the company 18 years.

In a statement, RI said Blackall had been “hugely influential, especially in nurturing new talent and supporting employees in their career development”.

The firm said her departure was by “mutual agreement”. The statement said: “This [agreement] ensures the company manages staff costs during the current economic challenges. It also allows Susan to pursue other interests and get a better work life balance.”

Outside of RI, Blackall has sat on the council of the Market Research Society (MRS) since 2006. She is also a fellow of the MRS, and a member of the society's standards board, its professional development advisory board and chairman of the MRS Company Partner Service advisory board.

Further departures at Research International are expected in the coming weeks following news of its merger with TNS yesterday.
