Start-up pursues SME MR firms
BRA is the first MR property for e-quisitor, which has bought two media services companies since its inception in March 2000.
E-quisitor CEO, Bob Bond, said he is looking at further research acquisitions as well as database firms and more specialists in interactive media. "We want to combine insight with all the clever new communications channels," he said.
E-quisitor has access to £25m for further acquisitions. The company is eyeing up firms with annual revenues between £2m to £10m.
It bought BRA for £6.7m in a mix of cash and shares.
Margaret Drye, CEO and founder of BRA, said the deal allowed her to accelerate company growth.
"When you're a small business it's really hard to grow quickly," she said.
"I really wanted to take the business into the next stage. This is a good way of doing it without being swallowed up by one of the large research companies."
