Rivett-Jones and Emslie are Data People

UK-- Peter Rivett-Jones, former executive board director at ad agency Poulters, and David Emslie, former business development director at credit reporting firm Equifax, have gone into business together as The Data People.

The new business, based in Leeds, is described as a data planning and analytics consultancy. Rivett-Jones said: “We help clients understand more about their customers by making sense of their data in order to maximise profits and outcomes.?We are marketeers first and data planners second.” The pair claim to already have a number of private and public sector clients.

Rivett-Jones left Poulters in 2007 after the business was sold to Bezier. The firm went on to be closed down by its new owner last year. He was previously a partner at Chemistry.

Emslie was with Equifax for 10 years and previously worked for JDA and Poulters.
