Research Now expecting 23% revenue jump

Fieldwork firm says operating profits set to leap 40%

UK-- Online panel and fieldwork provider Research Now is expected to announce a 23% increase in first half revenues when it reports its interim results in July.

The firm said in a trading statement today that revenue would be up from £19.1m in the first half of 2008 to £23.5m this year, while operating profits would be up 40% to £3.8m.

Research Now said that it had seen underlying revenue growth of around 14% in its operating regions and its gross margin was up 28% to £18.3m.

Chief executive Chris Havemann said: “Our performance to date continues to reflect high levels of repeat business from clients and also the benefit we gain from our high quality, cost-effective online data collection methods. With the healthy pickup in revenues in March continuing through April, we remain cautiously optimistic for the second half.”

Havemann said the firm was now “more confident in our outlook for the year ahead”.
