Red Cross picks Radian6 for social media task

Online monitoring agency to track humanitarian conversations

UK-- The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies has appointed Radian6 as its social media monitoring platform.

The Federation will use Radian6's real-time monitoring tools to find and take part in online conversations about humanitarian issues.

Zach Abraham, the Federation's campaign manager, said: “Social media is becoming an increasingly important tool. We know it provides opportunities to contact people who it would have previously taken a lot of effort and ingenuity to find.”

Radian6 specialises in monitoring social media and will be responsible for analysing and classifying online conversations before sending them to the Federation to respond to.
