Quaestor offers clients the chance to get closer

Brands get the chance to ‘date' customers – and even live with them

UK-- Research agency Quaestor is offering clients the chance to get closer to their customers – including spending time in their homes – through the launch of its new ‘Live it!' service.

QMedia Research, the firm's media arm, has devised a range of methodologies which is says will enable media, retail, manufacturing and public sector clients to interact directly with their customers and audiences.

Research manager Ross Taylor told Research that the new methods “speed up the research process and benefit clients by giving them a quicker way to incorporate business change”.

The Live it! Service has launched with four methodologies, but Taylor said that clients will be able to contribute their own ideas for their own projects.

The initial methodologies include putting clients into a customer's home to see “how they actually live” and interact with brands and products.

Senior staff will then get the chance to come face-to-face with customers in quiz dating sessions – a “less romantic” version of speed dating.

Respondents will also be able to view potential new advertising materials in the ‘gallery walks' service, where they will meet the creative team behind the ads in an art exhibition scenario. The creative team will have to ‘sell' their designs to respondents.

Lastly, respondents and clients will meet in large ‘carousel' sessions, where a venue is split into different zones for participants to discuss different topics.

Taylor said that respondents will benefit from the new techniques as well as clients, as the firm tries to give the events the feel of a night out and leaving them “feeling very positive about the brand”, said Taylor.
