Public bodies put surveys out to tender

The Electoral Commission and Arts Council of Wales on the hunt for agencies

UK-- The Electoral Commission is looking for a research agency to carry out a three-year rolling study into the completeness of the electoral register.

The successful agency will be required to perform house-to-house surveys to check the voting eligibility of residents and examine the register for anomalies such as over-registration, ineligible voters and duplicate entries.

A further study into specific demographics may be launched after the primary research work has been completed.

Details of the contract, which is set to begin in May, can be found here.

Elsewhere, the Arts Council of Wales is on the hunt for an agency to complete a three-month survey into public perceptions of the arts in Wales.

The survey will also gauge the level of arts engagement among adults and be used to shape the Council's strategic planning.

Agencies applying for the contract, which can be found here, must be able to work in both English and Welsh languages.
