Neuroscience specialist John Polich appointed as firm sets up testing labs at client sites

US-- John Polich has been appointed by neuromarketing specialist NeuroFocus to lead its NeuroLabs operations, through which it is setting up neurological research labs at client sites.

The firm, which is part-owned by Nielsen, is currently rolling out NeuroLabs in the US and hopes to expand the initiative to other countries including the UK, France, Japan and China.

Polich, described by the firm as one of the world's leading authorities on electrical measures of cognitive functions, joins from the Scripps Research Institute's Molecular and Integrated Neuroscience Department (MIND). He has also taught at the University of California, San Diego, and has held research positions at various US universities.

Pradeep said the firm is on a recruitment drive to support planned expansion in 2009, looking for top neurological and research talent.
