UK— YouGov has promoted UK CEO Tim Britton to the role of chief operating officer for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Britton, a former managing director of IFF Research, has been YouGov’s UK boss since 2008 but will now direct the company’s operations across the EMEA region as well as overseeing global development of the omnibus and SixthSense products.
Phil Rance, previously EMEA managing director at Research Now, will head YouGov’s UK business as managing director, while in Germany Andreas Sperling has been named chief executive of YouGovPyschonomics.
Sperling replaces Andreas Schubert who left the company in January this year. Sperling was previously with Millward Brown as CEO for Africa and Asia Pacific and managing director for Germany.
YouGov CEO Stephan Shakespeare said: “Tim’s new role reflects his success in leading our UK business and he will now be tasked with implementing our strategy across the EMEA region. We are delighted to welcome Andreas and Phil to the team. They both have great track records and leadership skills which will be of great value to their respective businesses and to the next phase of the group’s development.”
