A roundup of the latest appointments and promotions in the global market research industry, including the latest moves at Crimson Hexagon, ODC Services, Spinach and more.

US social media analysis software firm Crimson Hexagon has hired Curt Bloom as SVP of sales and international business development. He joins from UK marketing analysis firm SmartFocus, where he was interim CEO.

Angela Muzzo has joined Northstar Research Partners in Canada as executive vice president. The firm has also appointed Tim Bishop as marketing director for North America. Muzzo was previously in charge of research at Hotspex while Bishop was at IMI International.

UK-based sample provider ODC Services has appointed Matt Reynolds as sales director and Mina Odavic as junior sales manager. Reynolds previously had spells with Opinion Health and Opinion Matters while Odavic was previously at Global TGI.

Martin Gent has been appointed director of creativity at Spinach in the UK.

In the US, veterinary and animal health market researcher Ipsos Forward Research has appointed Caitlin Blazic as senior research manager. Blazic has experience both as a market researcher and a vet.

Karen Leavitt and Salima Nathoo have joined Insight Strategy Group in the US as senior managers. Leavitt was previously an independent children’s media researcher while Nathoo was at Research in Motion (the company behind BlackBerry) in Canada.

Online healthcare data collection specialist WorldOne has appointed Gerard Smith as CFO. He was previously CFO for EAME at Acxiom.

InCrowd, a research agency dedicated to the life sciences sector, has hired Heather Alcott as vice president of business development. Over the course of her career she has worked for ACNielsen, Bizrate and was the founder of Rockhopper Research.

Paul Allen has been appointed to the board of directors at software firm Acsis in the US. He currently serves as VP of strategic services at Olsen Research Group.

Ipsos Healthcare’s chief research officer Paul Snyderman has been elected to the 2012 board of directors at the Marketing Research Institute International.
