The latest appointments and promotions in the global market research industry. Today: IMS Health, Research Now, All Global, Datran Media, EMI Music

IMS Health has appointed JOHN R. WALSH to the newly created role of senior vice president for Payer and Government Solutions. Walsh will report to IMS Health chairman and CEO David Carlucci. He was previously senior VP for strategy and business development. The new role holds responsibility for driving the company’s comparative effectiveness research activities, supporting bio-pharma companies, private payers and governments,

CHARLES FAIRBAIRN has stepped down as a non-executive director of Research Now. He has been on the board since 2001 and was an original investor in the company.

All Global has named ELLEN KATZ as vice president of global healthcare panels. Among her responsibilities she will oversee the ongoing integration of the JStreet and All Global physician panels. Before joining IMS Health Katz was vice president of operations at TNS Healthcare, now part of Kantar Health.

DENNIS SYRACUSE becomes the new vice president of analytics at digital marketing technology firm Datran Media. In his new role he will be charged with establishing a marketing analytics consulting practice. Syracuse was previously a senior vice president at Sony Electronics.

GREG THOMPSON is the new executive vice president of marketing and promotion at EMI Music in North America. He has overall responsibility for consumer insight, interactive marketing, tour marketing and product management.
