The latest appointments and promotions in the global research and insight industry. This week: news from AMR Research, Sky, GeoAnalytics, Progressive, Maktoob, WDMP and Servint.

CLAIRE RAINEY has been appointed senior research manager at broadcaster Sky in the UK. She joins from Royal Mail, where she spent six years and was most recently insight manager.

KENNETH KUBAT has joined US predictive intelligence software firm GeoAnalytics as vice president of business growth and innovation. He has previously worked for Nielsen and Information Resources.

Progressive Digital Media, owner of research agencies ID Factor and ICD Research, has named MARK FREEBAIRN as a non-executive director. He is head of the CFO practice at search agency Odgers Berndston.

JIGAR MEHTA has been appointed business development manager at Maktoob Research’s Dubai office.

Direct and loyalty marketing agency WDMP has hired LUCY ACHESON to lead its data function and GLEN PATRICK to head planning, insights and analytics. Acheson joins from EHS Brann Discovery and Patrick was previously at Ninah Consulting.

US-based business web hosting firm Servint has appointed ERIC MORALES as business intelligence manager, where he will be responsible for market research, competitive analysis, social networking programmes and customer communications. He joins from Apple, where he worked in the retail division’s small/medium business development arm.

AMR Research in the US has appointed ALLEN JOHNSON as a research director covering industrial and consumer supply chain work. He joins from business consulting firm IDS Scheer. AMR has also appointed PAUL LORD and STEVE STEUTERMANN as research analysts. Lord will lead chemical and process research and Steutermann will focus on consumer product supply chain work.
