Nunwood hires former Accenture man in strategy role

UK— Research and consulting firm Nunwood has appointed the former global president of Accenture Marketing Sciences as its new chief strategy and development officer – a hire billed by CEO Clare Bruce as a “major coup”.

James Walker (pictured) joins after seven years with Accenture, during which time he led the acquisition of Media Audits and worked with clients including Vodafone, Dell and Nokia.

Before his time at Accenture, Walker held global leadership roles at MindShare and J.Walter Thomson as well as serving as chairman of Brand Science.

Bruce said: “James is the kind of partner that most agencies only dream of being able to bring onboard.  With first-rate consulting and global expansion experience, James will play a leading role in the ongoing transformation of Nunwood’s consultative approach, client services and international strategy.”
