Millward Brown restructures European operations

The new structure will be managed by a team of partners who will each take responsibility for a specific practice area. Millward Brown said the aim of the restructure is to get closer to clients and build stronger local businesses.

Leadership for the region consists of Cath Booth, European director and client officer; Elizabeth Brownhill, director and CFO; Juan Ferrer-Vidal, director and MD for Southern Europe; Krysztof Kruszewski, director and MD for Central and Eastern Europe; Janet Ogundele, director and talent officer; Jan Oostveen, director and MD for North Western Europe; and Tim Wragg, director and MD for UK and Ireland.

Some jobs could be at risk as a result of the restructure, according to a Millward Brown spokeswoman, who told Research: “At the moment we are looking how to harmonise the UK and Continental Europe, Middle East and North Africa regions into one in the most efficient and effective way. This includes our systems as well as our people. It is possible there may be a few individual posts that become redundant as a result of duplication.”

Millward Brown CEO Eileen Campbell said: “I am very excited about our new approach to the European business. It strikes the right balance between building teams that are locally responsive to our clients’ needs, while also delivering access for all to the many resources housed throughout our European businesses. It means our business structure is more closely aligned with that of our clients.”

Research first learned of plans for the restructure when it emerged that Warwick Nash had left Millward Brown as the firm axed his role of chief executive for the UK and Ireland in preparation for the change.

Meanwhile, the firm’s MD in Taiwan, Kevin Meyer, has left “to pursue non-market research related personal interests”, Millward Brown said. As a result the firm has aligned its Hong Kong and Taiwan operations, which will now be led by Malini Pani.
