IAB appoints mobile manager to lead research efforts

UK— The Internet Advertising Bureau has appointed Alex Kozloff as mobile manager to drive research and education efforts in the sector.

Kozloff (pictured) joins the IAB from online and mobile ad network Unanimis, where she was research manager.

Before her time with Unanimis she spent two years with mobile network Orange where she oversaw online and mobile media research.

At the IAB she will work alongside head of mobile John Mew to expand the organisation’s offering to meet the growing training needs of advertisers and agencies.

She will start by launching a study to understand where mobile commerce fits in business and to examine the effectiveness of marketing to consumers via SMS and MMS. Kozloff will also launch a book on mobile advertising and creativity and deliver bespoke presentations to marketers to help them integrate mobile with their current plans.

IAB chief executive Guy Phillipson said: “Alex is a true mobile evangelist with the substance to back it up. With her strong research background and direct experience within two of the IAB’s biggest members, her understanding of the mobile industry is second to none.”
