Hall & Partners Vanella Jackson elected MRS chairman

UK— Vanella Jackson, the global chief executive of Hall & Partners, has been elected as the next chairman of the Market Research Society (MRS).

Jackson was up against Accent managing director Rob Sheldon. The final vote was split 56% to 44%. She takes over as chairman from 1 April, replacing Rowland Lloyd who has held the post for the past two years.

Lloyd, the COO of operations at Ipsos, becomes MRS vice president.

Jackson joined Hall & Partners as European CEO in 2004, having previously worked for advertising agencies including BBH, AMV and JWT. She was promoted to global CEO of the specialist brand and communications research agency in 2008.
