Former eBay CMO joins Marketshare advisory board

US— Mike Linton has been appointed to the board of advisers at marketing analytics agency Marketshare Partners.

He was senior vice president and chief marketing officer at eBay until earlier this year, and was previously executive vice president and chief marketing officer at retailer Best Buy.

Linton (pictured) said: “I believe Marketshare Partners has developed a state-of-the-art solution which helps brands understand the right balance for their specific business as well as the impact of new and innovative ways of investing in customers. I look forward to working with them to help build out their product offerings.”

In March former P&G chief marketing officer Jim Stengel joined Marketshare’s board of advisers, while a month before U2 singer Bono took a minority share in the company through his private equity firm, Elevation Partners.
