Co-founders Talbot and McCarthy leave Alterian

UK— Alterian directors Michael Talbot and Tim McCarthy, who co-founded the business in 1997 with former CEO David Eldridge, have resigned “by mutual consent”.

Talbot was president and McCarthy research and development director. They were the longest-serving members of the company’s management team.

Their departures come in the wake of Eldridge’s resignation and the appointment of a new chairman and CEO of the marketing analytics software business, Phil Cartmell and Heath Davies (pictured), who are conducting a review of the business to address the “challenges” that led the firm to disappointing 2010/11 results.

Alterian said: “A detailed plan has been put in place to ensure the smooth transition of both Talbot and McCarthy’s roles within the business to existing employees.” Replacements were not named.

Non-executive directors Hugh McCartney and Iain Johnston have also resigned from the board.
