North America People

US— Arbitron has hired Paul Krasinski from internet radio research firm Ando Media to take on the new role of senior vice president of digital media and analytics.

The appointment aims to “better position” Arbitron as a partner to media owners and advertisers in digital audio measurement, according to chief strategy officer Tim Smith, Krasinski’s new boss.

Smith said: “Our customers, and the media industry as a whole, see digital platforms as a key part of their long term growth.”

Krasinski was chief operating officer at Ando Media before the move to Arbitron. Before that he was general manager of Westwood One and director of the digital media and interactive division at Greater Media.

  • Meanwhile, former Arbitron CEO Michael Skarzynski, the CEO of advisory firm Red Lion Technologies, has joined the advisory board of iPinion, which has developed a platform for conducting surveys on smartphones.
