Opinion Research shuts Tucson call centre

Firm blames lack of client renewals as 246 jobs go

US-- Opinion Research will close its call centre in Tucson, Arizona at the end of March, with the reported loss of 246 jobs.

Operations manager James Lytle told a local newspaper that the closure was due to poor economic conditions and clients not renewing contracts with the firm, but declined to comment further when contacted today.

Opinion Research opened the Tucson office in 1995 and employed 240 people on a part-time basis with six full-time employees.
