Online game to test packaging designs

Think Eyetracking and UK academics collaborate for online game project

UK-- Think Eyetracking is developing a multiplayer online game to test the efficiency of packaging designs in the FMCG sector.

The game, called SuperView, is set to be released in three months as part of a collaboration with Glasgow Caledonian University.

The firm's founder, Rob Stevens, told Research that by presenting SuperView as a game, Think hopes to attract people who would not normally take part in market research.

He said that instead of offering each participant a reward, players will compete for an overall prize to encourage competitiveness and participation.

SuperView is still at the test stage and Stevens said he was “keeping details close to his chest” until the official launch in June.

Stevens said another game was also in development but could not give any further details other than the name: Reveal.
