NTT Communications acquires Digital Forest

Telecoms firm buys online marketing ROI agency to develop analytics tools

JAPAN-- Internet and telecommunications provider NTT Communications is to acquire web marketing ROI specialist Digital Forest for ¥2.43bn (£16.9m) to develop analytics services for its business customers.

NTT said it will look to build on Digital Forest's Visionalist analytics platform with new offerings in the areas of search, email marketing, multivariate testing and consumer-generated media analytics.

Services focused specifically on advertising will incorporate behavioural targeting or search listing ads designed to attract customers efficiently and effectively, NTT said.

The company – already a client of Digital Forest – intends to acquire all 12,134 shares of the analytics firm's outstanding common stock.
