INDIA-- Nielsen Online has launched in India, offering its AdRelevance ad tracking and Market Intelligence site visitor demographics services to clients.
According to the Business Standard, the firm has appointed Karthik Nagarajan as associate director to lead the venture.
Mark Ottaway, vice president for regional services in Asia Pacific, compared internet usage levels in India to those of the UK and Australia five years ago and predicted that in four-to-five years the Indian market would be “at par” with them.
Elsewhere in India, Nielsen has opened its second Bases office. The new office for the product sales forecasting service is in Delhi, home to the largest group of FMCG and durables companies in the country.
