Nielsen acquires The Cambridge Group

Growth strategy consulting firm to align with consumer research business

US-- Nielsen has bought The Cambridge Group, which provides growth strategy consulting to Fortune 500 companies, for an undisclosed amount.

Rick Kash, founder and CEO of the Chicago-based business, remains with the firm and will report to Nielsen CEO David Calhoun.

The Cambridge Group will operate closely with Nielsen's consumer research businesses but will keep its own identity.

Kash said: “We are very excited to be a part of the Nielsen Company and look forward to combining our teams to create innovative services that will help companies capture new sources of growth and profitable demand.”

Calhoun added: “Their approach to uncovering and capturing new sources of demand is unique in the consulting industry and I'm delighted that Nielsen will provide this expertise directly to our clients.”
