Veteran CNN news man launches Poll Position

North America Technology

US— Former CNN chief news executive Eason Jordan has launched a polling, social media and news website, Poll Position, which polls Americans about topical issues.

Jordan co-founded the firm with Jeff Shusterman, president of Majority Opinion Research, who will play a “leading role” in the polling work, according to the company.

Poll Position said that it aims to “engage, enlighten and entertain users by providing exclusive hot topic scientific poll results and giving everyone an opportunity to vote and comment via online companion polls”.

As well as political topics, early polls on the site involve Eddie Murphy and whether he should host the Oscars, whether people will buy the new iPhone and whether talking on mobiles in restaurants is acceptable behaviour.
