Peanut Labs signs deal to recruit teens via online games

US— Peanut Labs has teamed up with publisher Nexon America to conduct a series of online surveys with teenagers.

Over the next three months teenagers who take part in one of Nexon’s online games will be recruited into Peanut Labs’s social media sample. Those who complete surveys will receive credits they can use in the in-game shops within Nexon’s titles, which include Combat Arms, MapleStory and Mabinogi.

The surveys will aim to provide insights into teenage trends and preferences.

Sean Case, senior vice president at Peanut Labs, said: “There is huge demand for insight into teens’ behaviour. Now that Facebook has embraced Peanut Labs surveys as a means of earning Facebook Credits virtual currency, we have unrivalled access to learn what teens want. Partnering with Nexon extends our reach to teens who play the hottest social games and MMOs (massively multiplayer online games).”

Meanwhile Peanut Labs has launched a social media sample in Germany. The sample currently contains 80,000 respondents, and the firm said it is in the process of profiling 7.5 million German social media users.
