Obituary: John Cronk, planner and qual researcher

UK

UK— John Cronk, planner and qualitative market researcher, died on 12 April at the Royal Marsden Hospital after a long illness.

His friend and former colleague Mark Earls writes:

“John founded a number of mould-breaking market research agencies, including Navigator and Cronk Dromgoole.

“His creative agency career included spells at Still Price Court Twivy D’Souza (in all its guises) and Leo Burnett. He was also a prime force behind the Inter Agency Yacht Race which for many years pitted creative agency sailors and their clients against each other (and the Solent).

“He will be much missed by everyone who knew him.

“The funeral is to be held at 2.30pm on 26 April at St Nicholas, Chiswick Mall, W4 2PJ. Donations if desired to Jubilee Sailing Trust.”

Lovely man, genuine, intelligent and someone I'm really happy to have called a colleague and friend. My thoughts are with his family but they should take comfort in what a special man he was.

Well said Chris. Evidenced by the packed church and gathering afterwards. A real loss to us all. Best Wishes to the Cronk family.
