It’s not bog standard respondent recruitment

NEW ZEALAND— A Christchurch technology start-up is looking to make a splash in the MR world by recruiting respondents for mobile surveys from adverts placed in portable toilets.

Texsys said that more than 200 invites have been posted in temporary toilets in the Christchurch suburbs of Aranui, St Martins, New Brighton, Wainono, Beckenham and Opawa – all areas whose plumbing systems were affected by the recent earthquake in the country.

Residents who sign up to take surveys will receive a series of text questions about the earthquake reconstruction efforts.

Director Adam Hutchinson (pictured) said: “The text message survey allows data to be captured from almost anywhere – in this instance, from the portable toilet on your street.”
