Industry associations form pan-American alliance

Latin America North America

US— North and South American research industry associations have formed a cross-border alliance to work together in addressing issues relating to standards, education, self-regulation, emerging technologies, business management, and client and respondent relationships.

Members of the Americas Research Industry Alliance (ARIA) are CEIM of Argentina, ABEP of Brazil, Chile’s AIM, Colombia’s AGORA, APEIM of Peru, Uruguay’s CEISMU, MRIA of Canada, AMAI of Mexico and Casro for the US.

AMAI director general Alejandro Garnica (pictured) has been tasked with coordinating the establishment of the alliance, which plans to attract new members from other Central and South American countries.

In a statement ARIA said it “believes the collaboration of national associations will strengthen the research industry in each country and enhance the quality of research and research business services across the Americas”.
