US-- Robin Lake has been promoted to vice president of research at Sony Pictures Television International, which syndicates the company's video content around the world.

She joined the firm in 2005 and will now take responsibility for quantitative and qualitative research for all SPTI businesses, including analyses of international TV ratings data, special studies for the international networks group, and focus group testing of multi-platform digital content.

Lake, who was previously director of research, will also liaise with the firm's international offices in the UK and Hong Kong

She will report to executive vice president of marketing Kim Hatamiya, who said: “Robin has made tremendous contributions to our in-house knowledge of US and global TV markets, competitors' product, local language productions and our domestic TV production slate. Under her leadership, SPTI's research team provides important analyses that help SPTI's distribution, TV networks and TV production businesses.”
