New leaders for social media analysis firms
US-- Social media analysis firms SearchHelp and Visible Technologies have both appointed new leaders.
SearchHelp has named Jeffrey Greene as CEO and Peter Sealey as non-executive chairman ahead of its rebranding as EchoMetrix and the full-scale launch of its Pulse technology, which aims to help marketers analyse sentiment in online conversations.
Pulse is in the final stages of alpha testing, the company said, and is expected to move to beta in the next few weeks.
Greene is a former chairman of Citicorp Information Management Services, a marketing intelligence provider, while Sealey is notable for being Coca-Cola's first chief marketing officer. He is now CEO and founder of management consulting firm The Sausalito Group.
Meanwhile at Visible Technologies, Dan Vetras has been brought in to replace CEO Adam Selig, who moves to the new role of divisional president for strategic alliances.
He had led the social media analysis and monitoring firm for the past two years, while Vetras is the former CEO of Talisma, a customer interaction management software firm.
Selig said: “It was clear to me and the board of directors that the best way to accelerate growth for the company was to focus my efforts on our critical distribution channels and key partners and to pass the management of the organisation to a Seattle-based executive.”
One such partner is WPP. The marketing services group is an investor in the company and its agencies use Visible's technology to help their marketing and PR clients track, analyse and participate in online discussions about particular brands and products.
